 Itinerary
Day 1  Depart for Minnesota
Depart today and enjoy a welcome dinner and overnight in Bloomington, Minnesota. (Dinner)
Day 2  Arrive in North Dakota
Depart the “Land of 10,000 Lakes” and arrive in North Dakota and the capitol city of Bismarck. (Breakfast)
Day 3  Badlands and Big Sky
The eerie terrain of North Dakota’s Badlands passes before you. These unique rock formations have become one of the state’s top attractions. Continue westward and enter the “Big Sky” country of Montana. (Breakfast and dinner)
Day 4  Crossing the Continental Divide
Montana’s name is from the Spanish word for “mountain,” and today you cross the sprawling ranges of the Continental Divide and arrive in the Christmas tree capital of Kalispell for the next two nights. (Breakfast)
Day 5  Glacier National Park
The splendor of the American and Canadian Rockies lies before you today. Montana’s Glacier National Park provides mile after mile of unspoiled scenery. There is much to marvel at in an ever-changing setting of fir-fringed lakes, isolated valleys and high mountain peaks skirted by deep green pines. Traverse the continental divide again via Going-to-the-Sun Road aboard an antique “Jammer” bus. This road, possibly the world’s most beautiful mountain road, offers views of the rugged McDonald Valley in a setting of glacial lakes, mountains and pine forests. (Breakfast)
Day 6  Arrive in Jasper
Leaving the United States today, cross into Canada get ready to explore the many superb sightseeing attractions that exist in Banff and Jasper National Parks. Pass Peyto Lake and reach a height of 6,675 feet at Bow Summit. Descend to Mistaya Canyon and Panther Falls and then pass through mountains that tower 10,000 to 12,000 feet. Your day of traveling ends amidst the breathtaking scenery of the mountain town of Jasper. (Breakfast and dinner)
Day 7  Maligne Lake Cruise
Enjoy the breathtaking scenery of Jasper National Park as you cruise Maligne Lake with its unparalleled vistas. Learn of the local history, geology, wildlife and glaciology of Maligne Lake and the park while taking in some of the spectacular scenery in the Rockies. This afternoon enjoy the beauty and serenity of Jasper. (Breakfast)
Day 8  Columbia Icefield and Banff National Park
Today, board a Snocoach and venture out on to the Columbia Icefield. This phenomenon covers 150 square miles, and its melting waters flow into the Atlantic, Pacific and Arctic Oceans. Savor magnificent views of the region as we continue along the parkway to Banff. (Breakfast and dinner)
Day 9  Lake Louise and Sulphur Mountain
Your touring of the area begins with a visit to the icy, blue-green waters of Lake Louise where melt-water from Victoria Glacier carries silt and rock dust, giving the lake its beautiful turquoise color. Free time here to enjoy the awe-inspiring scenery and the grandeur of Chateau Lake Louise. This afternoon, board the Sulphur Mountain Gondola and be transported to an altitude of 7,500 feet for an incomparable view of the mountains. (Breakfast and dinner)
Day 10  Regina, Saskatchewan
Leaving Alberta today, you make your way across Canada’s Breadbasket of Saskatchewan. (Breakfast)
Day 11  Winnipeg, Manitoba
Arrive today in Manitoba and the capitol city of Winnipeg. (Dinner)
Day 12  Return to the US
Leave Canada behind today and arrive in Minnesota for a farewell dinner and overnight stay. (Breakfast and dinner)
Day 13  Arrive Home
Arrive home today with memories of Canada’s Rockies and Glacier National Park. (Breakfast)
