Fr. John Boeglin is a recently retired priest of the Diocese of Evansville in Southwestern Indiana. He studied Theology at the University of Innsbruck, Austria and fluent in German. He has hosted numerous tours to Ireland, Great Britain, France, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Austria, Czech Republic, Poland, Israel, Egypt and Mexico over the last 40 years. He has personally traveled to Equator Chile, Japan, Vietnam, Australia, South Africa, Namibia and spent some time in India doing missionary work during seminary time in Innsbruck. He led a tour group to every Oberamergau Passionplay since 1984 (350th Anniversary).
Fr. Boeglin has also been involved in the sister-city parish connection with the village of Wagshurst where ancestors emigrated from to southern Indiana. Wagshurst is very small village located in the foothills of Black Forest along the Rhine.
Fr. Boeglin is always eager to host tour groups to many parts of the world. His two most favorite hobbies are hosting tours group and speaking German. He believes touring broadens your mind and leaves you with memories which you will cherish forever. |
