Introducing our new Mayflower Photo Tours & Workshops. This unique combination of a fully guided touring experience with an in-depth, instructor-led photography workshop means that now, photographers and their non-photography travelers can be together on one guided touring holiday.
From beginner to professional photographer, our instructor-led workshops emphasize creative expression and developing a personal style to take your landscape photography to new levels. Meanwhile, the travelers will enjoy a completely guided touring experience with a professional Mayflower Tour Manager. Some of the touring days will include opportunities for photographers and travelers to enjoy the touring experience together.
All Mayflower Photo Tours & Workshops include deluxe hotel accommodations, most meals, transportation, transfers and taxes as well as the services of a professional Mayflower Tour Manager. Tour Programs include the attractions outlined in the program and the Workshops include complete field instruction, digital darkroom workflow and image review. |

Dusty brings a unique perspective to the world of landscape photography that comes from his background in outdoor adventure, sports, and travel. His artistic vision involves photographing areas that are wild and beautiful while expressing the surreal nature of the landscape with a sense of mystery and adventure. Connecting with others has been a common thread throughout Dusty’s work life and he enjoys helping photographers achieve their artistic goals through field workshops and digital darkroom training sessions. |

DAY 1 – Arrive in Las Vegas
Everyone arrives in Las Vegas today. Meet your Tour Manager, Workshop Instructor and fellow travelers for a welcome dinner at 6:00 p.m. in the hotel. Later, enjoy the free entertainment of the “Freemont Street Experience” or give “Lady Luck” a try. Meal: D |
DAY 2 – Las Vegas Strip Sightseeing and Lake Mead Cruise
Tour Companions begin the day with a guided sightseeing tour of the exciting Las Vegas Strip. See the Eiffel Tower, Luxor Sphinx and famed Bellagio Fountains. The historic downtown features Wedding Row and Pawn Stars Plaza. In the late afternoon the Photographers join the group for a dinner cruise on scenic Lake Mead aboard the Desert Princess. Photographers are up early for a Sunrise shoot at Valley of Fire State Park. Shooting will continue as long as the soft light lasts before returning to Las Vegas. |

Death Valley National Park |
|
DAY 3 – Death Valley National Park
Tour Companions travel to the unique landscape of Death Valley National Park. See Badwater Basin, the lowest point in the Western Hemisphere, and Zabriskie Point for panoramic views of the park’s colored badlands, salt flats and distant peaks. Stop at the Harmony Borax Works and walk on the extensive Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes before returning to Las Vegas. Meals: B, L |

Photographers head to Death Valley National Park where a photo stop is made at Rhyolite Ghost Town first. Afternoon shooting at Badwater Basin and Zabriskie Point followed by a sunset shoot at Mesquite Flat Sand Dunes. |

DAY 4 – Joshua Trees and Dinosaur Tracks
Everyone departs Las Vegas for Utah’s Joshua Tree Natural Area, the northernmost stand of tree yuccas in the country. In St. George visit the Dinosaur Discovery Site at Johnson Farm. This natural history museum displays trace fossils, such as footprints and impressions from animals that lived nearly 200 million years ago. Then arrive in Springdale, near the entrance of Zion National Park. Meal: B |

DAY 5 – Zion National Park and Springdale
Tour Companions take a narrated open-air sightseeing tram into awe-inspiring Zion National Park. Here, the Virgin River has cut a dramatic rugged gorge through multi-hued sandstone, shale and limestone. Also enjoy free time for exploring and shopping in picturesque Springdale. Meal: B |

Photographers begin with a sunrise shoot at Towers of the Virgin in Zion National Park. Midday is dedicated to Digital Darkroom Workflow Sessions. The sunset shoot is at Checkerboard Mesa in the park. |

DAY 6 – Escalante Petrified Forest State Park
and Bryce Canyon National Park
Tour Companions travel to Escalante Petrified Forest State Park for a leisurely hike through the petrified forest. Stop at the visitor center featuring displays of fossilized dinosaur bones and plants over 150 million years old. At Bryce Canyon National Park see the crimson-colored “hoodoos”, which are spire-shaped rock formations. Be amazed at the expansive Amphitheater, a hoodoo-filled depression from multiple overlooks. Later, the photographers join the group for an early dinner in Bryce City. Meals: B, D |

DAY 7 – Travel Home
After breakfast, a group transfer takes everyone to Las Vegas’ McCarren International Airport for flights home after 2:00 p.m. Meal: B |

Travelers Protection Plan (TPP) – $100
This nonrefundable fee waives all cancellation fees when we are notified of cancellation one day before the tour departs. If you must leave the tour early due to personal illness, illness or death of a member of your immediate family, TPP guarantees full refund for any unused services after the departure of the tour. Other benefits include medical expenses for illness and injury, emergency transportation, 24 hour hot line, and lost or stolen baggage assistance. Return air transportation is included ONLY if your air tickets were provided by Mayflower Cruises & Tours. If you purchase the optional Travelers Protection Plan (TPP), you will be refunded all payments, including deposit amount, less the TPP premium amount.

• 30 – 15 days – 30% of the tour cost
• 14 – 1 day prior – 40% of the tour cost
• Day of departure or early departure from tour – 100% of the tour cost
No refund on unused portion
Exclusions: Mayflower Cruises & Tours reserves the right to alter its refund and cancellation policy when a substantial amount of cancellation or postponement of travel is attributable to: conditions resulting from an act of God, natural or man-made disaster, fire, government action, civil disorder, war, hostilities between nations, or unavailability of transportation through no fault of Mayflower Cruises & Tours. |
