LISLE, IL – April 6, 2021 – Mayflower Cruises & Tours, a division of the Scenic Group, operated their first two guided holidays since the commencement of the COVID – 19 pandemic this past week. With passengers departing for Virginia Beach on a Guided Holiday by Motorcoach and Charleston, Savannah and Jekyll Island on a North America Air holiday, the team at Mayflower was thrilled with the success of the two holidays and are looking forward to upcoming departures this spring and summer.
Guests on both departures were described as ecstatic to be back on tour. When asked how it felt to be traveling again after an entire year at home, one traveler responded…” I think it is absolutely great. I enjoyed this trip very much.” said Gregory Capps
“We were thrilled to welcome back our travelers on two fantastic itineraries!” said Nish Patel, President of Mayflower Cruises & Tours. “And to have everything run so smoothly on both tours is really a tribute to our staff, partners and the travelers for truly following the protocols that we have put in place.”
To prepare for these holidays, the operations team at Mayflower worked tirelessly to ensure the health and safety of the guests, staff and partners by implemented new Health & Safety Protocols, including pre-trip screen, enhanced sanitation standards and responsible social distancing while on tour.
Over the last year, Mayflower has reviewed many of their policies and procedures, making modifications where they saw a need, including an update to their Travelers Protection Plan for Air, World and River Cruise holidays to accommodate for potentially longer trip interruption periods. As well as, working with their vendor partners to ensure the cleanliness of motorcoaches, hotels, restaurants, and attractions that they will visit while on holiday. Travelers will be required to wear masks while on coaches, in group settings, and anywhere that it is mandated.
Capps went on to say “I felt very comfortable and I am glad to be traveling” when asked about traveling with Mayflower and the new safety protocols that have been put in place for pre travel and while on tour. |
