The Wieliczka Salt Mine is a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Poland that has been used for centuries, containing with what seems like endless corridors and routes. Operating since the 13th century, the mine illustrates the historic stages of mining development and techniques in Europe. There are nearly 200 miles of rooms, corridors, galleries with works of art, underground chapels and statues sculpted in the salt, making a fascinating pilgrimage into the past. The mine is so huge that you can walk through 2% of the salt labyrinth!

Since neolithic times, the site was used to harvest salt. Incredible history and fascinating natural phenomenon are found throughout every corner of the mine.
