With solid wooden flooring, ample lighting and clean, cool air the mine is a unique attraction. Spend time in nearby Placerville for lunch on your own before a wine tasting at Boeger Winery. One of the state’s first producers of varietal Merlot, Boeger is a pioneer of innovative variety blends. Back in Sacramento there is time to freshen up before tonight’s Pioneer Dinner at Sutter’s Fort Historic State Park.
