Day 1 Arrive in Halifax
Welcome to Halifax, Nova Scotia’s oldest and most culturally diverse city, as well as its capital. Meet your Tour Manager in the hotel lobby at 6:00 p.m. for dining suggestions.
Day 2 Halifax and The Citadel
After a get-acquainted breakfast today a local guide joins us for a tour of Halifax. Hear the history of the city’s war years, the exploits and heroism of the citizens who lived through the devastating Halifax explosion and learn about the city’s connection to the Titanic disaster with a visit to Fairview Lawn Cemetery where many victims are buried. See the beautiful waterfront, and pay a visit to The Citadel, the restored British fort which is now a National Historic Landmark.

Day 3 Cape Breton Island
Today it’s off to beautiful Cape Breton Island, which was originally settled by the Loyalists from New York state. They were followed by Scottish immigrants, choosing this region because it reminded them of their homelands. We’ll also visit one of Canada’s most popular attractions, The Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site in Baddeck, Nova Scotia, overlooking beautiful Bras d’Or Lake.

Day 4 Cabot Trail
Spectacular scenery is the highlight today as you travel along the Cabot Trail. We will spend the day exploring much of this famed road in Cape Breton Highlands National Park, which winds through charming communities and breathtaking scenery. A visit to Cape Breton is sure to thrill you. Its only rival in beauty is the seaside French and Scottish settlements nestled below the mountains resembling the highlands of Scotland. We’ll enjoy a relaxing picnic lunch along the way as we experience the scenic nooks and crannies of this remarkable landscape.

Day 5 Ferry to Prince Edward Island
We leave Nova Scotia today and take a ferry to Prince Edward Island, home of Lucy Maud Montgomery, who wrote the book Anne of Green Gables. Our two-night stay on Prince Edward Island gives us ample time to explore this quaint part of Canada. Later, we enjoy a musical performance at the Confederation Centre for the Arts.

Day 6 Charlottetown Touring
Today we begin with a tour of Charlottetown, a city whose core has not changed since it was settled by the French, Scottish, English and Irish. A visit to the Anne of Green Gables home is one of the highlights of this tour. Your view of the island offers many other delightful opportunities including exploring marvelous beaches and woodlands. This evening savor the local cuisine with a tasty lobster supper.

Day 7 Confederation Bridge and Hopewell Rocks
After breakfast, we leave Prince Edward Island via the nine-mile-long Confederation Bridge. We take in breathtaking views as we drive along the Bay of Fundy, stopping at one of the province’s most popular and intriguing attractions, the Hopewell Rocks. Over the centuries the massive tides have carved these unique rock formations known as the "Pots," which provide incredible photo opportunities with their natural beauty. Later, we continue on to our home for this evening in the city of Saint John, New Brunswick.

Day 8 Digby Ferry and Peggy’s Cove
Today, we cross the Bay of Fundy by ferry to Digby, Nova Scotia, the "Scallop Capital of the World." We make a stop in the small town of Terence Bay to visit the Heritage Park dedicated to the S.S. Atlantic, the luxury steamship which ran aground here in 1873. Then we visit the picturesque fishing village of Peggy’s Cove. This sleepy town is famous for its weathered granite rocks, beautiful ocean waters and its crowning feature, Peggy’s Cove Lighthouse. Enjoy leisure time here in the "world’s most photographed fishing village" and a special farewell dinner before returning to Halifax and our final overnight.

Day 9 Travel Home
We leave this beautiful coastline region of Canada with memories to share with family and friends. Your Tour Manager will arrange your transfer to the airport in Halifax for flights home anytime today.
