Mayflower Tours Promotes Nish Patel to President |

Downers Grove, Illinois – Thursday, May 11, 2017 – Mayflower Tours, based in Downers Grove, Illinois, has announced the promotion of Nish Patel to President, effective immediately. Patel, a 31-year hospitality industry veteran, has spent the past 17 years at Mayflower Tours. He is currently chief operating officer of the company, and previous to that, was chief information officer.
John Stachnik, is the current President and with his wife Mary, are co-owners of the company. “We are gratified and most pleased that Nish has accepted our offer to make him President. Over the past 17 years with Mayflower, he has worked tirelessly in all areas of the business. He can speak with as much authority as possible on areas ranging from travel insurance matters to drafting and implementing short- and long-term strategic plans. Nish is well respected in the industry and will continue to be a dynamic spokesperson for us,” said John Stachnik, who moves to the Chairman position.
Mary Stachnik noted that “over the years, Nish has adapted exceedingly well to the ever changing travel market. With his expertise in technology, airline and supplier relationships, along with being a strong manager of our Mayflower staff, he really is a very valuable asset. Mayflower is only as good as the people who make up the Mayflower family and Nish ‘gets it’ says Mary Stachnik, senior vice president. “I believe with the platform we have built that Mayflower is poised for even greater growth in these upcoming years with Nish at the helm.”
Patel pointed out that “I am honored to assume the presidency of Mayflower Tours. During these past 17 years, I have been mentored by John and Mary Stachnik.
