Our Arctic Adventure voyage provides the complete Arctic
experience, taking in the highlights of this spectacular region across
15 awe-inspiring days. Heading straight for Longyearbyen in Spitsbergen, you’ll waste
no time in getting to immerse yourself in the Svalbard
archipelago with its carved glaciers, towering cliffs and pack
ice. Here you’ll spend your days marvelling at the unique
scenery and searching for wildlife such as the walrus, reindeer
and even the elusive Polar bear – king of the Arctic.
Greenland’s East Coast is the world’s largest national park and
fjord system where you’ll sail past pristine glaciers and
thundering waterfalls. Walk on the arctic tundra amongst
exquisite arctic flora, hike breath-taking mountain vistas and
mingle with indigenous communities. And to end your
extraordinary voyage you’ll witness the Land of Fire and Ice,
visiting some of Iceland’s finest towns and landscapes.

flight to Oslo, Norway.

2 Oslo, Norway > Longyearbyen
Your journey into wonder
begins as you fly from Oslo to Longyearbyen, where the crew of
Scenic Eclipse will warmly greet you as you step on board.
Settle into your handsomely appointed suite and acquaint
yourself with the sumptuous facilities of your luxurious
Discovery Yacht as you set sail from Longyearbyen and all the
wonders that lie in wait. Raise your glass as you toast the start
of your voyage at the welcome cocktail reception hosted by the
Captain, who will introduce your expert Discovery Leaders and

3-5 Svalbard Archipelago
The Svalbard Archipelago’s
rugged glaciers and frozen tundras are a fragile and remote
area of vast environmental significance, while Spitsbergen is
the largest island. Due to the extraordinary nature of the
region, the sailing and expedition schedule is flexible. Your
experienced Captain and Discovery Leader will use their
expertise to design this section of your voyage from day to day.
Making the most of the long hours of daylight, weather and ice
conditions to give you the best experience possible in this
extraordinary part of the world. You will enjoy daily Scenic
Discovery excursions by Zodiac, kayak and on nature walks to
get up close to majestic Arctic scenery, tundra landscapes

6 At sea
Cruise Arctic waters enjoying the luxurious
features on board Scenic Eclipse, as you head for the world’s
largest island, Greenland. Meals: B, L, D

7 North East Greenland
Approaching North East
Greenland you may encounter a variety of seabirds such as
northern Fulmar and migratory Brunnichs guillemots. This
stretch of coastline is ripe for exploration, with its many secrets locked in place by drift ice for up to eight months each
year. Home to polar bear, snowy owl and musk ox, it’s the
world’s largest national park, covering 375,291 square miles,
most of which is inland ice, and the rest a fjord landscape.
You’ll enjoy Scenic Discovery excursions exploring by Zodiac,
looking for musk ox, Arctic hare and eider ducks, or discover
old trappers huts on hikes across the tundra. Conditions
permitting, there will be a good chance for kayakers to paddle

8 North East Greenland
Cruise North East Greenland.
This stretch of coastline is ripe for exploration, with its many
secrets locked in place by drift ice for up to eight months each

9-10 East Coast Fjords of Greenland
Spend two days
cruising and exploring Greenland’s magnificent East Coast
Fjords, the world’s largest fjord system. Cruise among glorious
icebergs and active volcanoes and feel the spray of thundering
waterfalls. Enter Kaiser Franz Josef Fjord, a remote and rarely
visited fjord system that lies within the North East Greenland
National Park with countless opportunities for exploration.
Cruising through Kong Oskar Fjord you will marvel at the
geological beauty of the mountains. Head south along the
coast of Liverpool Land, on a passage that is dependent on ice
conditions, to reach Scoresby Sund, the world’s biggest fjord.
Massive glaciers dump into this fjord, the birthplace of the
famous big Greenland icebergs. Visit the Inuit community of
Ittoqqortoormiit (Scoresby Town) – one of the remotest
settlements on Earth – to learn about their lifestyle in this

11-12 Akureyri, Iceland
Cruise into the harbour of
Akureyri – Iceland’s second city – that lies at the mouth of a
magnificent fjord. Under atmospheric Arctic skies, admire the
views of Akureyri’s brightly coloured houses set to a backdrop
of snow-capped mountains. Then spend the following day
exploring the town and surrounding Myvatn region, with its
waterfalls, geothermal springs and otherworldly landscapes.

13 Sauðárkrókur
Today you’ll arrive in the adjacent fjord
of Skagafjörðurfor for a full in day in and around the town of
Sauðárkrókur. Here you’ll enjoy more opportunities to immerse
yourself in Icelandic culture and the country’s impressive
