1 Bourbons Bistro and “Bourbon 101” Class
Grab
the reins of adventure and travel to Louisville. Tonight, get
acquainted with your traveling companions during a welcome
dinner at Bourbons Bistro, located in one of Clifton’s historic
1870’s buildings. Enjoy a delicious dinner and have an personal
introduction to whiskey tasting during their “Bourbon 101” class
featuring whiskey tasting. (Dinner)

2 Backstretch Breakfast Tour and Frazier History Museum
The day begins at famed Churchill Downs, the
“World’s Most Legendary Racetrack.” Go behind the scenes for
breakfast in the Horseman’s Track Kitchen followed by a walking
tour of historic Churchill Downs to see the more than 1,400
stalls and watch training from rail side. Visit the Derby Museum
and see the exciting film The Greatest Race. At the Frazier
History Museum visit the Kentucky Bourbon Trail Welcome
Center where you enjoy a bourbon tasting. Browse the many
exhibits and see the high-definition production Kentucky Show!,
a multimedia show highlighting Kentucky’s past, present and
future. (Breakfast)
Day
3 Kentucky Horse Park, Woodford Reserve and Buffalo Trace
After breakfast travel to Lexington, the heart of horse
country and the famed Kentucky Horse Park. Trace 55 million
years of equine history at the International Museum of the
Horse, tour The Big Barn, filled with beautiful draft horses and
enjoy a Bluegrass Buffet Luncheon. In Versailles a stop is made
at Woodford Reserve Distillery. On a guided tour you will learn
the history of bourbon, see the distilling and bottling processes
before tasting Woodford Reserve’s unique craft bourbon. Before
returning to Louisville, stop at Buffalo Trace Distillery. Walk the
path of the “rolling barrels,” smell the alluring aroma of the aging
warehouses and of course, sample the final product.

4 The Ark Encounter and River Cruise
Today is
dedicated to the highlight of the tour, the massive Ark Encounter.
This full-sized, all wood replica of Noah’s Ark presents a number
of historic events centered on this one-of-a-kind historically themed
attraction. It is designed to be family oriented, historically
authentic and is the largest timber frame structure in the country. Enjoy the full day here and take in the entire experience. Tonight,
take to the river for a narrated cruise followed by a delicious dinner.
