1 Pere Marquette State Park
At the confluence of the
Illinois and Mississippi Rivers sits the rustic Pere Marquette
Lodge. The native stone and rustic timber architecture is
highlighted by the mammoth stone fireplace in the lobby. Tonight,
enjoy dinner at the lodge featuring their famous fried chicken.

2 The Great River Road Scenic Byway
Experience the
rolling waters of the Mississippi River and magnificent limestone
bluffs on a scenic drive along the Great Rivers National Scenic
Byway. Stop at the National Great Rivers Museum to learn
about life on the Mississippi and tour the Melvin Price Locks
and Dam. Make a photo stop at the statue of Robert Wadlow,
the world’s tallest man at 8 feet, 11 inches. Later, visit the Lewis
and Clark State Historic Site to learn about the planning of their
journey and see the 55-foot keelboat.

3 Carl Sandburg and Circa '21 Dinner Playhouse
In Galesburg, stop at the boyhood home of noted author Carl
Sandburg. See the cottage he was born in, visit the museum
and spend time in the visitor center. This evening, enjoy dinner
and live entertainment at the Circa '21 Dinner Playhouse,
who has been producing professional live shows since 1978.

4 John Deere Pavilion and Celebration Belle Lunch Cruise
At the John Deere Pavilion learn about the man who
changed farming forever. Then, climb aboard the Celebration
Belle for a narrated lunch cruise on the Mississippi River before
arriving home.
