 Itinerary
Day 1  Depart for Ohio
Depart this morning today for Ohio. In Toledo, stop at Tony Packo’s Café for an included lunch. With their walls covered in autographed hot dog buns of famous celebrities, and featuring Eastern European cuisine, Tony Packo’s is a Toledo institution. Following lunch, continue to Akron for a welcome dinner hosted by your Tour Manager. Meals: L, D
Day 2  Arrive at Olgebay Resort and BackTraxx Band Dinner Dance
Passing through Ohio today, you arrive at the beautiful Olgebay Resort. After checking in, there is plenty of free time to get acquainted with your surroundings. The resort features specialty shops, gardens, museums, a zoo and much more. Tonight, enjoy a delicious dinner at the Oglebay Resort followed by a fun and lively show featuring the BackTraxx Band. Sit back, relax and enjoy the greatest hits of the 60s and 70s. Meals: B, D
Day 3  Independence, Incarceration and Johnny Cash Prison Concert
This morning a local guide conducts an “Independence and Incarceration Tour.” Begin at Wheeling’s Independence Hall where in 1863 the vote for West Virginia to secede from Virginia was won. Then, visit the 1876 Gothic-style West Virginia Penitentiary, once on the list of the top 10 most violent correctional facilities. This evening, our travelers are encouraged to dress as a “convict” or “cop” for the special costume contest being held. There will be prizes. Later, dinner is the “Jailbird Feast” featuring comfort food served in a prison cafeteria atmosphere at the penitentiary.

Tonight, the highlight of the tour features a live performance by Gray Sartin and the Tennessee Three. Be witness as they recreate Johnny Cash’s Outlaw Prison Concert. Delight to covers of Folsom Prison Blues, I Walk the Line, Ring of Fire and so much more. Meals: B, D
Day 4  Ohio Reformatory and The 94th Aero Squadron
Depart Wheeling this morning and come to Mansfield, Ohio, home of the famed Ohio State Reformatory. Most recently known for its use as the set for the film The Shawshank Redemption, the Ohio State Reformatory’ cells once housed some the world’s toughest criminals. Walk through history while you relive a movie scene, hunt for some paranormal activity or admire the Romanesque architecture.

Your farewell dinner is at The 94th Aero Squadron Restaurant. Housed in a 1917 French Farmhouse and is filled with WWI and WWII military memorabilia, the building features stone fireplaces, wood paneling and beamed ceilings. Meals: B, D
Day 5  Arrive Home
Arrive home today with warm memories of your Johnny Cash Outlaw Prison Concert tour. Meal: B
