Day 1 - 2  Arrive New Orleans with Dinner
Our Southern adventure begins with a welcome dinner and overnight in Missouri before arriving at our New Orleans hotel. (Dinner and breakfast)
Day 3  Sightseeing Tour of “The Big Easy” and New Orleans School of Cooking
We begin the day with a narrated tour of “The Big Easy” with a local guide to see historic Jackson Square, St. Louis Cathedral and the Garden District and the historic French Quarter. Then, the flavors of the region come alive in a fun and inter-active experience at the New Orleans School of Cooking and enjoy a traditional lunch of local cuisine. Tonight, the French Quarter is alive with a selection of restaurants featuring traditional southern cuisine and lively bars with exciting live music. Meal: B, L
Day 4  National WW II Museum and Jazz Dinner Cruise
We begin the day with a visit to the National WWII Museum. The focus of the museum is on the contribution made by the U.S. in the victory by the Allies in World War II, particularly the Battle of Normandy. See the permanent galleries The Home Front, Planning for D-Day and The D-Day Beaches along with the atrium and its WWII aircraft. Later, enjoy some free time on your own to stroll the streets or maybe enjoy beignets and coffee at Café Du Monde before taking to the water for an exciting dinner cruise. We board the Paddlewheeler Creole Queen as it sails along the Mississippi River. Enjoy the sounds of traditional New Orleans Jazz music while dining on regional cuisine. Meal: B, D
Day 5  Travel to Memphis
We depart New Orleans today and cross the state of “Magnolia State” of Mississippi en route to Tennessee and our lodgings at the new Guest House at Graceland. Meal: B
Day 6  Graceland and Memphis
This morning, we visit Elvis’ 14-acre estate, Graceland. See the living rooms, music room and “jungle” den along with Elvis’ gold records, awards and costumes. A local guide then joins us for a narrated tour of Memphis to see Beale Street, Cotton Row and the Lorraine Motel. Tonight, dinner is at Central BBQ where the motto is “slow smoked Memphis style.” Meals: B, D
Day 7  Our Journey Home
We depart this morning bound for home. Arrive this evening filled with wonderful memories of the many diverse flavors of our Southern adventure. Meal: B
