Depart the Bluegrass State this morning and travel through the Volunteer State of Tennessee as you continue to South Carolina’s state capital, Columbia.

3 Welcome to the Grand Strand!
Each year, the Grand Strand beckons travelers with its 60 miles of beautiful beaches along the Atlantic, fabulous shopping and top-notch entertainment. Until the 1900s, only struggling farmers and fishermen inhabited the beaches. Now, vacationers from all over the world come here. Your oceanfront hotel is home for the next three nights.
This evening, enjoy dinner at Giant Crab, one of Myrtle Beach’s fabulous seafood restaurants then, sit back, relax and see why Myrtle Beach is known for its fantastic entertainment at The Carolina Opry, voted Myrtle Beach’s top show year after year.

4 Myrtle Beach Entertainment
Begin this morning with a leisurely stroll along the beach. Watch for the many dolphins and porpoises that call the region home. Can you tell the difference? You have free time this morning to explore on your own. Your Tour Manager will be available with suggestions.
Tonight, dinner is at Original Benjamin’s Seafood Buffet before seeing the incredible Legends in Concert show, a fabulous tribute to yesterday and today’s musical legends.

5 Hopsewee Plantation and Hammock Shops Village
Depart this morning for Georgetown, home of the South Carolina Maritime Museum. Located in the historic waterfront, it tells the stories of the state’s port cities and inland waterways. Continue to the historic Lowcountry rice plantation of Hopsewee. Built in 1735 it was the birthplace of Declaration of Independence signer Thomas Lynch. Tour the home and enjoy a delicious Southern lunch in the Tea Room.
You will make a stop at the famous Hammock Shops Village, a collection of Lowcountry arts, crafts, gifts and of course, hand-made hammocks. Tonight, you are treated to another of Myrtle Beach’s best shows.

6 Blue Ridge Parkway and Cherokee, North Carolina
Bid farewell to the Atlantic coast this morning and travel to Cherokee, North Carolina, in the heart of the Smoky Mountains and the enchanted homeland of the Cherokee Indians. Follow a portion of the historic Blue Ridge Parkway (weather and road conditions permitting) through some of the most beautiful scenery in the region. Harrah’s Casino is nearby for those who wish to give Lady Luck a try.

7 Great Smoky Mountains National Park
Continue your journey today through Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The Cherokee people called the area Shaconage, or “Place of Blue Smoke.” The bluish mist, which clings to the mountainsides and fills the valleys, gives the park its name and remains its most distinctive feature. Visit the park’s Visitor Center before continuing your journey into Kentucky.
Tonight, join your traveling companions for a farewell dinner at the Hofbauhaus hosted by your tour manager.
