Day 1 Depart the USA
Depart the USA on your overnight flight to Johannesburg, the wealthiest province in South Africa.
Day 2 Johannesburg, South Africa
Upon arrival, you’ll be met by a Mayflower Cruises Tours representative and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is at your leisure to begin getting acquainted with the unique culture of South Africa.
Day 3 Johannesburg
After breakfast, depart for a full day tour. Visit Mandela House, a national monument dedicated to offering insights into the life of Nelson Mandela. Learn about the Apartheid era at the Apartheid Museum, and see the Hector Pieterson Memorial which stands in remembrance of the youth who lost their lives during the movements. Meals: B, L
Day 4 Journey to Kruger National Park
Departing Johannesburg, travel by coach to Kruger National Park for the amazing animal adventures that await! Enjoy lunch at the lodge before experiencing your first game-viewing drive in search of the “Big Five” – lion, African elephant, Cape buffalo, leopard and rhinoceros. Meals: B, L, D
Day 5 Kruger National Park
Today you have more opportunities to witness the majestic wildlife of Africa on your morning and afternoon open vehicle, guided, game-viewing drives through the breathtaking scenery of Kruger National Park. Meals: B, L, D
Day 6 Travel to Zimbabwe
After breakfast, depart for the Kruger airport for the flight to Victoria Falls Airport. After clearing airport procedures upon arrival, the coach will take you to the hotel. Meal: B
Day 7 Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe
Following breakfast at the hotel, depart for an amazing excursion to Victoria Falls where you’ll stand in awe of nature’s supreme masterpiece. A local guide will accompany you through the rainforest, detailing the history of the falls and the flora, fauna, bird and wildlife that abounds. This afternoon, enjoy a spectacular sunset cruise on the mighty Zambezi River. Relax as the vessel meanders along the river, providing views of wildlife in their natural habitat. This evening experience a special treat at the Boma dinner featuring Zimbabwean dishes and entertainment by traditional dancers, a storyteller and a witchdoctor! Meals: B, D
Day 8 Travel to Hwange, Zimbabwe
Depart Victoria Falls by coach for Hwange where you’ll enjoy lunch at the lodge and an afternoon game-viewing drive on the lodge’s private reserve. Meals: B, L, D
Day 9 Hwange National Park
An exciting day is in store on the full-day game-viewing drive with picnic lunch. This area is the home of the Presidential elephant herd, and known for big-cat carnivores, plains game and herds of buffalo. Meals: B, L, D
Day 10 Travel to Chobe, Botswana
Depart Hwange by coach for Botswana’s Chobe National Park. After lunch at the lodge, head out in search of elephant, buffalo, lion and leopard on an afternoon game-viewing drive. Meals: B, L, D
Day 11 Chobe National Park
Continue exploring on a cruise down the Chobe River, and another game-viewing drive. Keep an eye out for hippo, crocodiles and giraffe as nature continues to impress in this game-rich national park! Meals: B, L, D
Day 12 Depart for USA
Your African adventure comes to an end as you depart for the Kasane Airport and your flight to Johannesburg for onward connections. Memories and photographs of the special moments and unforgettable experiences are sure to last a lifetime! Meal: B

Extend your African Adventure with a three-night stay in Cape Town. A full day tour begins with a visit to Table Mountain, Cape Town’s most iconic destination. Ascend to the summit (only five minutes!) via the Aerial Cableway which provides revolving cars offering spectacular 360° views. At the top, you’re rewarded with a series of walking paths along with stunning views of the surrounding oceans and city below. During the city tour, discover its rich history as you pass historical monuments including the Castle of Good Hope and Cape Town City Hall. Stop at the beautiful St. George’s Cathedral and explore the Bo-Kaap, also known as the Cape Malay quarter, with its characteristic cobbled streets and colorful houses. A day at leisure is provided for your independent exploration of this vibrant, cosmopolitan city that is host to a variety of cultures and unforgettable experiences. A transfer to the airport is provided on the last day.
