Day 2 Dubrovnik, Croatia
Upon arrival in Dubrovnik, transfer to your hotel. The afternoon is yours to relax or explore the city on your own. Tonight, enjoy a Welcome Dinner at the hotel. Meal: D
Day 3 Montenegro
Travel by coach to Montenegro, Europe’s youngest nation. At the mouth of the Bay of Kotor, admire the beauty of the longest and deepest fjord in Southern Europe. Enjoy a boat ride to an islet to visit Our Lady of the Rocks church and museum. Returning to the coast, stop in Perast to view this picturesque coastal town before continuing to Kotor. Stroll through the winding streets with your local guide and enjoy lunch on your own in the medieval old town of this charming fortified city. Return to Dubrovnik by coach for the evening at leisure. Day 4 Dubrovnik and Embarkation of your river ship
Following breakfast at your hotel, depart on a tour of Dubrovnik with your local guide. Known as the ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’, explore the Rector’s Palace and the Pharmacy of the Franciscan Monastery as you are introduced to the city during the walking tour. Following free time for shopping and lunch on your own, the excursion ends at Gruz Harbor where your ship, the MV Karizma, awaits. Relax onboard as you become acquainted with the ship and crew. This evening, enjoy a Welcome Reception and dinner onboard. Meals: B, D
Day 5 Mljet National Park
This afternoon, sailing from Dubrovnik, lunch is served onboard as you make your way to the Adriatic Island of Mljet. On your guided visit of the Mljet National Park, learn about the five types of forests, the island's geological structure consisting of limestone and dolomite forming ridges, crests and slopes and the many species of birds and eagles’ nests. Day 6 Pucisca
Leisurely sail along the river and enjoy the remarkable views of the Dalmatian Coast. Following lunch onboard, arrive in the beautiful small town of Pucisca that arose from stone on the north island of Brac. Known for is culture of stone masonry, the nicely built stone houses with paved white roofs give Pucisca its charm. Take a swim in the beautiful blue waters in a bay near this quaint town. Day 7 Omis / Split
The picturesque, ancient town of Omis is surrounded by small fishing villages with beautiful beaches. Board small boats that take you into the magnificent Cetina River Canyon, a protected nature area. Sail upriver to Radman Mills where you are treated to a tasting of a local specialty before returning to the ship in Omis. This afternoon, arrive in Split, the largest Dalmatian city and second largest city of Croatia. Your guided visit will include the seafront promenade and the Roman Emperor Diocletian’s Palace, with its ancient columns and Roman belfries. Meals: B, L, D
Day 8 Bol, The Golden Horn / Hvar
This morning your ship arrives in Bol, known for the best beach in Croatia - the Golden Horn. You’ll have free time to swim and enjoy this beautiful beach. This afternoon, sail on to Hvar, known as ‘the Croatian Maderia’, and one of the longest islands stretching along the shores of Croatia. On the included walking tour you’ll see the first public theater in Europe (older than Shakespeare’s theater in the UK), the Franciscan Monastery and other historic sights. Meals: B, L, D
Day 9 Korcula
Sail to Korcula, the acclaimed birthplace of the famous explorer, Marco Polo. As you stroll through its narrow, cobbled streets on the included walking tour, immerse yourself in Korcula’s picturesque town and discover adorned palaces and elegant houses including the majestic Cathedral of St. Mark. Day 10 Winery Visit / Return to Dubrovnik
Enjoy a pleasant trip along the shores of the Mljet Island with a visit to Grgich Hills Winery, owned by the famous American wine producer in Trstenik, for a tasting. The ship arrives in Dubrovnik and your final evening of the cruise is free of planned activities. Meals: B, L, D
