 Itinerary
Day 1  Chicago to Michigan
Begin with a panoramic tour of downtown Chicago with a local guide. Leave the big city behind for charming Traverse City, Michigan, known for its sparkling beaches, unique shops and cherry orchards. Meal: D
Day 2  Traverse City
Begin at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore whose golden dunes stretch along the blue waters of Lake Michigan. Hear the history and lore of the area from a local guide. See the collection of rare antique musical instruments and music-making machines at the Music House Museum. Nickelodeons, music boxes, pipe organs and a Belgian dance organ come alive. Meal: B
Day 3  Agawa Canyon Autumn Foliage Train
Cross into Canada for a train ride through scenic Agawa Canyon. This all-day adventure takes you past massive rock formations, through thick forests of maple and birch and over pristine streams. Explore the Agawa River and its waterfalls on the valley floor before returning to Sault Ste. Marie. Meals: B, Box Lunch
Day 4  Mackinac Island’s Grand Hotel
A trip to Mackinac Island is a like a trip back in time as this peaceful resort island offers a glimpse into life during a simpler and more genteel era. A horse-drawn carriage greets you for a tour en route to the crown jewel of Mackinac Island, the Grand Hotel, the world’s largest summer hotel, built in 1897, and our home for the next two nights. Meals: B, D
Day 5  Explore Mackinac Island
You will have the entire day at leisure to browse the shops or rent bikes to peddle along Lake Huron. “The Grand” is the perfect place to enjoy a stroll in the beautifully landscaped gardens or enjoy afternoon tea. Don’t forget to sample the world-famous Mackinac Island fudge! During the day enjoy a private lecture with a local historian to learn the history of the island. Meals: B, D
Day 6  Traveling The Great Lakes State
Leave Mackinac Island and travel through the Great Lakes State to Dearborn, the home of the Ford Motor Company. Meal: B
Day 7  Ford Rouge River Factory Tour & The Henry Ford
Go behind the scenes to see the Ford F150 pickup truck being built. Later you can choose to visit the Henry Ford Museum or Greenfield Village followed by a farewell dinner hosted by your Tour Manager. Meals: B, D
Day 8  Journey Home
Make your way home with fond memories of your Michigan autumn adventure. Meal: B

Passports and Visas: Each U.S. citizen must have a valid passport. Expiry date of passports should be at least 6 months after the return date of tour. If you don’t have a passport, call our office and we’ll tell you how to apply for one. Some countries require visas for entry by U.S. citizens. We will send visa applications and instructions if a visa is required for your tour. Holders of non-U.S. passports should contact their nearest consulate and inquire about the necessary passport or visa documentation required for entry into the countries visited.

NOTE: Due to airline security measures, your passport name must match your airline ticket name and your tour reservation name or you may be denied aircraft boarding.
