 Itinerary
Day 1  Depart the USA
Depart the USA for your overnight flight to Santiago, Chile.
Day 2  Santiago, Chile
Upon arrival at the Santiago Airport, you will be met by a Mayflower Cruises & Tours representative and transferred to your hotel. We have arranged for an early check-in at the hotel so you can rest for a few hours. This afternoon, enjoy a tour of the city of Santiago, the country’s most important cultural, cosmopolitan and artistic hub. Start out with a visit to the highpoints of the city’s civic center, such as Cerro Santa Lucia, the La Moneda Palace and the traditional Plaza de Armas square, a meeting place for Santiago’s diverse and multicultural expressions. Later, walk through the Parque Forestal, a park running parallel to the Mapocho river with a variety of tree species offering a refreshing break from the urban life of the city. Return to your hotel for an included dinner. Meal: D
Day 3  Cajon del Maipo & Yeso Reservoir
Breakfast at the Hotel. Following breakfast, depart for Cajón del Maipo, an attractive ecotourism destination in the Andes Mountains. Along the way, visit the town of San José de Maipo, known for its colonial buildings. The tour continues to impress with the incredible and multicolored landscapes of the Andes Mountains covered with snow during winter time. Next, stop at the Yeso Reservoir, located 2,500 meters above sea level is a source of drinking water for the Metropolitan Region. With its turquoise waters and the breath taking Andes Mountains as a backdrop, you will certainly enjoy this spectacle of nature. After a full day of touring, return to Santiago for an included dinner at the hotel. A Box Lunch will be provided during this excursion. Meals: B, L, D
Day 4  Viña del Mar & Valparaiso
This morning, depart for a delightful visit of two cities located on the Pacific coast. Passing through Casablanca; known for its fine vineyards, take part in a wine-tasting experience. Upon arriving at the magnificent coast, visit Viña del Mar, also known as the “Garden City” because of its beautiful beaches, lovely parks and flower garden landscapes (such as the famous flower watch). Following an included lunch at a local restaurant, proceed onto the picturesque city-port of Valparaiso. Founded in the 16th century, marvel at the contrast between the two cities, as the stylish and beach culture of Viña is replaced here by the much more popular and artistic lifestyle. The port was declared by UNESCO a World Heritage Site in 2003 and offers a unique and fascinating architectural adventure. Visit the Pablo Neruda Museum “La Sebastiana,” the former home of Pablo Neruda (one of Chile’s most renowned poets who was awarded a Nobel Prize in Literature). After a full day of touring, return to the hotel for an included dinner. Meals: B, L, D
Day 5  Santiago – Cousiño Macul & Concha & Toro Vinery – Santiago
After a hearty breakfast, depart for Viña Cousiño Macul, the oldest wine estate in Chile. Founded in 1856, it is considered one of the most traditional vineries in the country as its current owners are direct descendants of the founder, Don Matias Cousiño. The vinery is well known for its beautiful surroundings and efficient wine making production process. After an included lunch at a local restaurant, proceed to the second vinery- Viña Concha y Toro. Known as one of the ten most important vineries in the world, this is Chile’s largest wine exporter. Concha y Toro’s fine wines are produced in 1,000 small French and American oak barrels. After a full day of vinery touring, including some wine tasting, return to the hotel for an included dinner. Meals: B, L, D
Day 6  Santiago – Puerto Natales
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the Airport to board your flight to Puerto Natales. Upon arrival in Puerto Natales, you will be transferred to the Pier to embark the Skorpíos III ship, your home for the next three nights. Following a welcome reception on the ship, begin cruising through the Patagonia region. Meals: B, L, D
Day 7  Amalia Glacier
This morning, arrive at the Amalia Glacier. Disembark on a nearby beach for a soft hike on the beach, arriving at viewpoint for a breath taking view of the glacier. Upon embarkation continue sailing towards El Brujo Glacier. Weather permitting, you may be able to disembark and walk around. Then continue sailing to the amazing Calvo Fjord. Here you will have an excursion on the “Captain Constantino” icebreaker which is equipped to navigate through the ice in the Fernando and Alipio glaciers. This evening arrive back at the ship and sail towards Montanas Fjord. Meals: B, L, D
Day 8  Montanas Fjord
This morning, arrive at the Montanas Fjord and see four different glaciers. First is the Alsina Glacier, enjoy a boat ride around the small bay, exploring its wonderful surroundings. Return to the ship and continue sailing through Montanas Fjord towards Bernal Glacier. Here you will have the chance to disembark and do some soft hiking in the region. Later continue sailing on Montanas Fjord towards the final two glaciers, Herman and Zamudio. Enjoy the region with some sailing on small boats and soft hiking and finally returning to the ship. Celebrate your final night on the ship with the Captain’s Farewell dinner. Meals: B, L, D
Day 9  Puerto Natales – Torres del Paine – Puerto Natales
Upon disembarkation from the ship, you will be met by your local guide who will assist you with the transfer to your hotel in Puerto Natales. Drop your luggage at the hotel and continue on to tour the Torres del Paine National Park. This nature wonderland was declared a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve in 1978. The first stop will be for a visit at the Milodon Cave, a Natural Monument where the remains of prehistoric animals were discovered. After this visit, continue driving along the park that will reveal the impressive Andean massif, with its horned peaks that impact all visitors alike. The area is surrounded by glaciers, waterfalls, lagoons and lakes that together with the wide ranging flora and fauna turn this park into one of the wonders of the world for its beauty and natural scenery. Enjoy a stop for an included lunch at a local restaurant. Following the Park visit, head back to the hotel in Puerto Natales for an included dinner. Meals: B, L, D
Day 10  Puerto Natales – Punta Arenas – Santiago
After breakfast, it is time to bid farewell to the Patagonia region and head for the Punta Arenas airport for your flights home via Santiago. Meal: B

Some countries require visas for entry by U.S. citizens. We will send visa applications and instructions if a visa is required for your tour. Holders of non-U.S. passports should contact their nearest consulate and inquire about the necessary passport or visa documentation required for entry into the countries visited. NOTE: Due to airline security measures, your passport name must match your airline ticket name and your tour reservation name or you may be denied aircraft boarding.
