Inside Sales Rep

Job Description

The Inside Sales Rep is a vital position within the group sales department for the future growth of Mayflower Cruises & Tours. The position is charged with working with the sales team to take reservations, servicing inbound calls, manage service issues, coordinate production of marketing materials, organizing reports and other assignments that are critical to the sales process at Mayflower Cruises & Tours.

Key Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Learn company sales practices, the reservations and CRM systems, in a fast pace environment
  • Learn product and destination details for selling Mayflower Cruises & Tours
  • Maintain account profiles, ensuring complete and accurate contact details
  • Communicate on a regular basis with your assigned sales manager on projects needed, reservations, marketing support, service issues and other misc tasks
  • Work and speak directly with group contacts on reservations, marketing, air, service issues, accounting and general questions and needs related to the tours.
  • Represent your sales manager and the accounts inside Mayflower Cruises & Tours and may require you championing meetings and discussions with Accounting, Marketing, Operations and other Sales Managers
  • Occasional travel to group locations for presentations or to work closely with the sales manager
  • Manage the Marketing for each group tour including securing approvals, making required changes and keeping tasks on schedule
  • Report directly to the Inside Sales Manager on a regular basis on related projects
  • Experience working for a travel company is a plus
  • Excellent phone, organizational and follow-up skills are a must

 

 

 

Business Development Manager

 

Mayflower Cruises & Tours, a national tour company, located in Lisle, IL and a division of Scenic, USA is looking to hire experienced sales professionals and highly motivated Business Development Managers to join its sales team.

 

Job Description

 

 

The Business Development Manager is a vital position within the sales department for the future growth of Mayflower Cruises & Tours. You will be responsible for achieving monthly and annual sales goals as well as coming up with ideas for strategic sales plans and their implementation. Developing, managing and nurturing new Group Travel business partnerships and accounts to accomplish volume and our profit goals is key to this position.

 

Key Responsibilities and Expectations

  • Increase and generate sales in an assigned territory
  • Proven track record of developing new group travel business
  • Must have excellent presentation skills to effectively make the sale
  • Manage accounts successfully using Salesforce
  • Strong computer and communication skills
  • Learn company sales practices
  • Learn product and destination details for selling Mayflower Cruises & Tours
  • Maintain account profiles, ensuring complete and accurate contact details
  • Experience working for a travel company is a must
  • Excellent organizational and follow-up skills are a must
  • Ability to travel is a must

 

The Business Development Manager position consists of a balanced combination of an excellent base salary and commissions, plus benefits. Unlimited earning potential – no commission caps! The position will report directly to the Director of Group Sales.
