San Antonio Christmas on the Riverwalk
Day 1: Arrive in San Antonio, Texas
Stay four nights right in the center of all the action on San Antonio’s famous Riverwalk. Meet your Tour Manager in the lobby at 5:00 p.m. for a welcome get-together at the Drury Plaza’s Manager’s Kickback Reception. Meal: Drury Manager’s Kickback Reception
Day 2: San Antonio Touring and The Alamo
This morning a local guide conducts a sightseeing tour of the city. Explore the area’s trich history with a visit to Mission San Jose, followed by shopping at El Mercado, an authentic Mexican Marketplace. Later, you visit The Alamo, the famous fort where Davy Crockett and 185 other “Texans” fought against Mexico. See the museum and enjoy the spectacular IMAX movie, Alamo – The Price of Freedom. Day 3: LBJ National Historic Park and National Museum of the Pacific War
Today you travel through the Texas Hill Country for a visit to the Lyndon Baines Johnson National Historic Park. Begin in Johnson City with a visit to the boyhood home of LBJ, the nation’s 36th President, before arriving in Stonewall and the LBJ Ranch and Texas White House. See LBJ’s presidential airplane, automobiles and see the Texas White House where the nation’s business was often conducted. Enjoy an included lunch in Fredericksburg before visiting the National Museum of the Pacific War, a one-of-a-kind museum which covers the War in the Pacific arena from all angles. Meals: B, L
Day 4: Frontier Times Museum, Bandera and Paseo del Rio Cruise
Today, travel to Bandera, the self-proclaimed “Cowboy Capital of the World” for a visit to the Frontier Times Museum. Opened in 1933 the museum is dedicated to the American West and includes a wonderful collection of Western Art, the Texas Heroes Hall of Honor and personal collection of “curiosities” from the founder, J. Marvin Hunter. Enjoy time for lunch and shopping in this unique Cowboy town before heading back to San Antonio. Tonight, your Tour Manager hosts a farewell dinner followed by a leisurely cruise along the Paseo del Rio beautifully decorated for the holidays. Meals: B, D
Day 5: Fly Home
Depart for home with a group transfer to the San Antonio International Airport for flights out after 10:00 a.m. Meal: B
